SHOR HEALTH
Morning
Evening
Texts, not another app.
Simple
Two short messages a day, and everything else is there when you reach for it.
What it is
Practical support by text, for you. Someone you love is having a hard time with drugs, alcohol, or mental health challenges, and you carry a lot of that weight. SHOR gives you words for the hard conversations, short lessons you can read in a minute, and a check-in on how you are doing. There is a private Circle if you want one.
It doesn't matter whether it's drinking, drugs, or a mental illness like bipolar disorder or depression. The texts are about you.
The texts are automated and arrive around 8:30 in the morning and 7:30 in the evening, your local time. Your replies are private: nobody in your family and no treatment center ever sees them. If you text something that sounds like a crisis, you get one reply pointing you to 988 and 911.
How it works
Enter your first name and mobile number. Your free week starts now: two short texts a day, mornings and evenings.
A walk. Calling a friend. Going to bed on time. Small things that help you get through a week. You choose a few in SHOR, and each week we check in on one, a quick text you answer in a word. We never ask for their name, diagnosis, or daily status.
A sister. A friend. Someone who already gets it. They get a text they can tap. They join free. One person is enough.
Once a week you get a text: did you do that one thing? You can say done, later, or skip. If they joined, they get their own text for their own list. If you both answer, we send a small “you’re both still in it.” Lists stay private.
